Same story for me as well. selling furniture through OfferUp. sent me a cashiers check and requesting me to deposit it and then subtract what I am selling the furniture for and send the remainder to a delivery company Via Venmo. I tried three times since the first 2 times, the money didnt go through. the third time it did. and it was sent to a Cynthia Baker, which may not be a real account. i did not hear about the moving people coming over on the day that was agreed on. Now the guy is texting me that he is sending another check because "the amount deposited is not enough to cover what the movers are being charged. saying he is mailing me another check to deposit and to take out $200 for myself and send the remainder to the movers. I am cutting this guy out.

Exact same issue with me here in WA. He attempted to buy furniture from Offer Up, sent a fake cashiers check over the amount by $1100, and expected me to pay some movers. I told him to shove it.

This has also happened to me! I actually never even got the cashiers check. My phone identified the # belonging to a "Jerry Smith Smith Jerry"...yep, that's exactly how the name pops up on my phone -_-

Guy is trying to buy $500 piece of furniture via OfferUp. Said mailing cashiers check along with funds for the mover to pick up. Requested a picture of my DEPOSIT slip. Cashiers check was $2340 for something selling for $500. Per Truity Credit Union cashiers check is FAKE (big surprise huh!). Scam-Buyer is texting from this number. Reported this to OfferUp, Truity CU, Police and US Postal Inspector General. People never give someone your banking info. Beware please!.

Why isn’t there owner information for every phone number? I can’t seem to find it.

Unfortunately, for the moment, the phone numbers cannot display such type of information, but you should rest assured that we are continuously working on expanding the database we use. Also, we try to prevent scammers and other ill-intended persons to utilize spoofed phone numbers or numbers that are out of use. So, we think it’s best not to claim to offer data coverage in a proportion of 100%.

What kind of numbers can I find with your database?

At the moment, you can find numbers from all over the United States in our database, and number from some parts of Canada. The phone numbers belonging to the North American Numbering Plan or NANP can be all reversed. These numbers are made out of 3 digits that represent the area code and 7 digits that represent the phone number itself. As a general rule, business phone numbers, wireless numbers, landline residential numbers, fax numbers, even numbers coming with prepaid services can be “reversed”.

What’s the type of information I can find?

It depends on the type of service you choose to use. Various types and amounts of data are provided by each different reverse service. Let’s take the case when we can provide the required information. If the database contains the info you need, then we can offer not just names and addresses, but also the name of the carrier and whether the phone uses a landline or is wireless. But, not all inquiries will generate all these types of information at once.

What are the costs of a lookup with your service?

We are proud to say that using our website won’t cost you a dime. It is free of charge, regardless of the information we offer. As long as we have it, we will give it to you for free, being among the very few websites that do so. The websites that offer this type of services for a fee, do expect to pay anywhere between $4.95 and $14.95 for one lookup only. Still, we have to admit that these websites may provide some information we do not have at the moment, due to the fact that our sources for providing the information are different. So, you can always try our website first, as it is free, and if it doesn’t provide what you need, you can always try the websites that offer paid services in the same sector.

If I want to post a comment, how can I do it?

It is very easy, all you need to do is write down your name and all the details you know about a particular phone number in the designated field. If you don’t want to share your name, you have the option not to complete the name field. Also, your avatar can display “Anonymous”, if you choose such an option. After all, the website focuses on gathering info about phone numbers, so every helping hand matters to us.

What can I do in the event of a Negative Comment?

Whenever you find a comment that is rude, impolite, or inappropriate, you can always report the issue by using the special “Abusive Post” button. Use this option if you think the comment is spam or if it contains negative or obscene words.

If I want to remove my phone number from this website, how can I make this possible?

The privacy of each user is extremely important to us. So, if you want us to remove your phone number from the website, please contact us here.
